The wait for Lanterns suddenly feels much shorter. HBO Max released the first official trailer for the highly anticipated Green Lantern series on July 24, and within hours, fans were calling it one of the strongest projects from James Gunn's new DC Universe. Packed with mystery, emotion and stunning visuals, the three minute preview has changed the conversation around a franchise that has spent years trying to win back audience confidence.


After the disappointing 2011 Green Lantern film, many fans were unsure whether the characters could ever work in live action again. But Lanterns looks determined to leave that chapter behind. Instead of focusing only on superhero action, the series blends detective drama with cosmic science fiction, creating something that feels fresh while staying true to the comics.
