Prince Harry is reportedly hoping to travel to the United Kingdom in the coming weeks with Meghan Markle and their two children as part of his broader efforts to reconnect with the royal family. While the Duke of Sussex is expected to visit Britain in connection with the upcoming Invictus Games, sources indicate that no meeting with his estranged brother, Prince William, is anticipated. The possibility of bringing his family along remains uncertain as ongoing security concerns continue to complicate plans.
According to reports, Prince Harry would like Meghan Markle, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to accompany him during his planned visit to Britain.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped away from their senior royal responsibilities in January 2020 before relocating to California, where they have since established their new life.
Harry is expected to travel to the UK in July to promote the 2027 Invictus Games, which are scheduled to take place in Birmingham next year.
Sources told Page Six that Harry hopes his wife and children can also make the trip and spend time with King Charles. However, insiders say no confirmed arrangements have yet been put in place.
The prince is also expected to participate in a “one-year-to-go” celebration ahead of the July 10-17, 2027 Invictus Games.
The primary issue preventing Meghan and the children from returning to Britain is the unresolved disagreement surrounding security arrangements.
Prince Harry has maintained that his wife and children require armed protection while visiting the UK.
Although reports earlier this year suggested that the UK Home Office was willing to approve enhanced security measures, sources claim that neither Harry nor his legal representatives have received any formal confirmation regarding those proposals.
Until there is clarity on the issue, plans involving Meghan, Archie and Lilibet remain uncertain.
The ongoing dispute continues to be viewed as the central barrier to any family visit.
If Meghan does travel to Britain, it would be her first visit since attending Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral.
The family’s connection to the UK has been limited since relocating to California.
Prince Archie was still an infant when the Sussexes left Britain in 2020, while Princess Lilibet has only visited the country once, during celebrations marking Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee in 2022.
A return trip would therefore represent a rare opportunity for the family to spend time in the UK together.
According to sources, one of Harry’s strongest motivations is ensuring that his children have more opportunities to see King Charles.
Reports suggest Archie and Lilibet have had very limited contact with their grandfather, and Harry hopes that can change.
Following the loss of his legal challenge regarding UK security arrangements last year, Harry spoke openly about the difficulties surrounding family visits.
Speaking to the BBC, he admitted, “I can't see a world in which I would bring my wife and children back to the UK at this point.”
His comments reflected the extent to which security concerns have influenced his decisions.

Beyond arranging a visit, Harry has continued to express his desire to improve relationships within the royal family.
In an earlier interview, he stated that he had “forgiven” members of his family despite years of disagreements.
He also said, “I would love reconciliation with my family. There's no point continuing to fight any more, life is precious,” while emphasizing that security had “always been the sticking point.”
Although he reportedly hopes to visit King Charles during his upcoming trip, sources told Page Six there remains no expectation of any meeting with Prince William.
For now, Harry’s reported plans reflect both his wish to reconnect with his father and his hope of allowing Meghan, Archie and Lilibet to spend time in Britain. However, until the security dispute is resolved and formal arrangements are confirmed, the proposed family visit remains uncertain despite the Duke’s intentions.
