Will GTA 6 face another delay? New announcement rumours hint at a possible April reveal

Speculation around Grand Theft Auto VI is heating up again after social media chatter suggested that developer Rockstar Games could be preparing a new announcement in April. While nothing has been confirmed, several online personalities and community trackers believe something related to the highly anticipated game may be on the horizon. Let's find out more.

The latest wave of speculation began when YouTuber GameRoit posted on X (formerly Twitter), claiming that "something GTA 6-related" could happen in April. The creator clarified that the information was only a rumour, stating that they had heard "rumblings from a few people".

When asked about the source of the information, GameRout replied that the tip allegedly came from "someone in the press and a few people at a publisher". The YouTuber also added that the rumoured update was "not delay related", although no additional details were provided.

At the moment, these claims remain unverified, and there is no official confirmation that any announcement is planned.

Fuelling the speculation further, a popular community tracker on X, @GTAVI_Countdown, pointed out what it described as 'unusual activity' from Rockstar Games.

Typically, the studio releases weekly updates detailing new events in GTA Online. However, fans noticed that Rockstar recently announced updates covering the next weeks in a single Newswire post.

According to the account, this could suggest the studio is "clearing its schedule", potentially leaving a window open for a major reveal before April 1. Still, this theory is based purely on fan interpretation and has not been acknowledged by Rockstar.

Adding to the speculation, Australian YouTuber TGC shared a 'hunch' that the third trailer for GTA 6 could arrive in early April.

The creator did not reveal the reasoning behind the prediction but teased that if the guess turns out to be correct, they will later explain what clue led them to the conclusion. For now, TCG admitted the theory "could be nothing".



As soon as the posts surfaced on social media, they quickly sparked discussion among fans. One said, "So a GTA 6 delay in April until 2027? 🤦♂️ 🥺"

Another asked, "Now what are these rumblings you’re hearing?"
