Andrew Tate's old $200,000 Donald Trump donation post resurfaces after White House refuses to back Tate brothers: 'They are getting Epstein'd'

Given their far-right views, self-described misogyny, ties to the manosphere, and vocal support for Donald Trump and the MAGA movement, many assumed Andrew and Tristan Tate would find allies in the US after being extradited from the United Kingdom. Instead, the brothers have been met with a cold shoulder, with a White House spokesperson making it clear on Thursday that the Trump administration is not backing them. As the Tates face this latest setback, Andrew Tate's past support for Trump has resurfaced online, with netizens mocking the irony and joking that he may be the first person who didn't benefit from aligning himself with MAGA.


Andrew and Tristan Tate were arrested by U.S. Marshals in Miami on July 18 after British authorities requested their extradition to face criminal charges in the United Kingdom. The brothers are accused of multiple offences, including rape, arranging or facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation, assault, and offences involving indecent images of a child and extreme pornography. The allegations relate to seven alleged victims and incidents said to have occurred between 2010 and 2017. They also continue to face separate legal proceedings in Romania over allegations including human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group. Andrew and Tristan Tate have repeatedly denied all allegations against them.

The White House has publicly distanced itself from Andrew and Tristan Tate, making it clear that the Trump administration will not intervene in their extradition to the United Kingdom. During a press briefing on Thursday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt responded with a blunt "No" when asked whether President Donald Trump or his administration planned to step in. Secretary of State Marco Rubio echoed that position a day earlier, saying there was "no role" for the administration to play and that the United States intended to honour its extradition treaty with the UK, leaving the case to proceed through the courts.


After the White House distanced itself from the Tate brothers, some social media users resurfaced one of Andrew Tate's old posts in which he publicly expressed support for Donald Trump. In a May 2024 post on X, Tate wrote, "Donating 200k to my n****r Trump," referring to a purported $200,000 donation to Trump's campaign.

Reacting to the White House's stance, one user wrote, "Trump doesn't care about yesterday's news. He has a whole new gaggle of fresh-faced young rapist sex-traffickers to hang out with now." Another mocked Tate's years of support for Trump, writing, "Imagine sucking [up to] him for so many years just for this."

Others referenced Jeffrey Epstein while speculating about the brothers' legal troubles. One post read, "Both Tate brothers are getting Epstein'd, might as well just tell on everyone they were involved with and do the world a solid." Notably, Trump had sought to distance himself from Jeffrey Epstein, particularly after Epstein's 2019 federal sex-trafficking charges and again as renewed scrutiny over the Epstein files intensified in 2025–2026, despite his past friendship with him.

Meanwhile, Tate has claimed he is being held in the Special Housing Unit (SHU), the highest-security section of the federal detention facility where he is being held in Miami while fighting extradition to the United Kingdom. In a post on X, Tate complained of having "no commissary, no phone calls, no yard time" and questioned why he was being housed there, describing himself as "an innocent until proven guilty extradition detainee."
