The excitement surrounding Kagurabachi continues to grow as the highly anticipated anime adaptation prepares for its April 2027 television premiere. To build momentum long before the series officially airs, the production team has announced the Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1, a global campaign that will bring exclusive footage directly to fans at some of the world's biggest anime conventions.

Rather than releasing extensive previews online, the creators are taking a different approach. Fans attending selected events will get the chance to watch the opening portion of Episode 1 months before the anime's release. Combined with special guest appearances and behind the scenes discussions, the tour is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious anime promotional campaigns of recent years. Here is everything fans need to know about Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1.

What is Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1?

Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1 is a worldwide promotional event designed to introduce fans to the anime adaptation ahead of its television debut. The tour was announced shortly after the anime adaptation itself was revealed, immediately generating excitement among manga readers and anime fans.

The centrepiece of each event is an exclusive screening featuring approximately the first 20 minutes of Episode 1. This allows attendees to experience the anime's visuals, animation quality, soundtrack, and storytelling before the rest of the world. The strategy helps create anticipation through live fan experiences while encouraging discussion across the anime community.

Anime premieres are often promoted through trailers and online campaigns, but Kagurabachi is taking a more direct approach. By bringing early footage to conventions across different countries, the production team is turning the launch into a global celebration.

The decision reflects the manga's growing international popularity. Since its debut in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2023, Kagurabachi has become one of the magazine's biggest success stories. Its combination of dark fantasy, supernatural powers, revenge themes, and stylish sword combat has attracted a dedicated fanbase around the world.

Several major anime conventions have already been confirmed as part of the first phase of the tour.

Anime Expo 2026 in Los Angeles

The tour begins at Anime Expo in Los Angeles on July 3, 2026. This event will feature the world premiere screening of the opening 20 minutes of Episode 1.

Fans attending the event will also have access to a special panel featuring key members of the production team. As the first stop on the tour, it is expected to generate significant discussion online.

Japan Expo 2026 in Paris

The next stop takes place in Paris on July 9, 2026. Visitors will be able to watch the same preview footage while also hearing directly from staff members involved in bringing the manga to life.

Japan Expo remains one of Europe's largest anime and manga events, making it an important location for expanding the series' international reach.

AnimagiC 2026 in Germany

On August 1, 2026, the tour heads to Mannheim, Germany, during AnimagiC 2026. Fans there will get another opportunity to watch the Episode 1 preview and learn more about the anime adaptation.

Germany has become a growing market for anime and manga, making it a natural destination for the world tour.

Anime NYC 2026 in New York

The final currently announced stop is Anime NYC on August 22, 2026. The event will host the East Coast premiere of the footage on the convention's main stage.

With thousands of anime fans expected to attend, this stop is likely to be one of the most talked about events of the tour.

Special Guests and Panels

The world tour is not only about screening footage. Several events will feature appearances from key figures involved in the anime's production. Among the confirmed guests are Taihi Kimura, the voice actor portraying protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira, manga editor Takuro Imamura, and anime producer Koichi Yasuda.

Additional appearances by production staff and cross media team members are also planned at various locations. These panels will give fans a closer look at the adaptation process, production challenges, and creative decisions behind the series.

Who is producing the Kagurabachi anime?

The anime adaptation is being produced by Studio Cypic, the studio formerly known as Cygames Pictures. The studio has gained attention for its recent work and is expected to deliver the dynamic action sequences that fans associate with the manga. Tetsuya Takeuchi serves as director, while Keigo Sasaki handles character design duties.

Several major companies are also involved in the production and distribution effort, highlighting the project's importance within the anime industry. The early promotional footage released so far has impressed viewers with its cinematic visuals, fluid action scenes, and faithful recreation of the manga's atmosphere.

What is Kagurabachi about?

Created by Takeru Hokazono, Kagurabachi follows Chihiro Rokuhira, the son of legendary swordsmith Kunishige Rokuhira. Chihiro spends his childhood learning swordsmanship and forging techniques from his father while dreaming of following in his footsteps.

Everything changes when a mysterious sorcerer organisation attacks, killing Kunishige and stealing six powerful enchanted swords. Driven by grief and revenge, Chihiro takes possession of the seventh blade, Enten, and begins a dangerous journey to hunt down those responsible.

The story blends supernatural battles, emotional storytelling, organised crime elements, and intense sword combat, creating a unique identity within modern shonen manga.

What happens after Kagurabachi Anime World Tour Part 1?

While only four international stops have been officially announced so far, the organisers have indicated that more events could be revealed in the future. Additional countries and convention appearances remain possible as excitement continues to grow.

The tour is expected to conclude with a major premiere event in Japan before the anime's television debut in April 2027. Unlike the international screenings, this finale is expected to feature the complete first episode alongside special guests and celebration events.
