Katie Price finally shares husband Lee Andrews' update two weeks after his disappearance: From spy claims to prison call, here's what she said

Katie Price has finally broken her silence to share a concrete update regarding her husband, Lee Andrews, days after she first raised the alarm that he had vanished under mysterious circumstances in Dubai. After a period of frantic uncertainty and wild public speculation, Katie confirmed on her podcast that Lee has been located alive and is currently being held in a prison in Dubai. She revealed she received a brief but relieving phone call from him, during which he claimed his phone had been confiscated by authorities.


During the latest episode of her podcast, The Katie Price Show, alongside her sister Sophie, Katie expressed palpable relief. "Today was the day, which is why I’m happy, Lee has been found. Alive. Woop," she announced . However, the relief came mixed with bizarre claims regarding the reason for his detention.



The 48-year-old alleged that Lee, her husband of 5 months, told her the authorities in the UAE had suspected him of being a spy. "All I know is that, they thought he was a spy so he was interrogated," she explained, a claim that her sister Sophie reportedly joked about during the conversation. According to Katie, the phone call lasted only around one minute, but it was enough for her to deliver a stark warning about the public relations disaster unfolding back home. "I told him, 'Trust me, you are the most hated man in Britain. Everyone thinks this is a scam,'" she said.

Katie also moved to shut down rumours that Lee had been active on social media or communicating with other women while he was supposedly missing. She insisted that his phone had been taken from him. "He hasn’t had his phone. They’ve gone through his phone, so it’s not been him using it," she stated, adding that allegations of him messaging another woman were false and that "they’ve never exchanged messages or nothing".


Lee’s disappearance triggered a confusing chain of events that began roughly two weeks ago. The first sign of trouble came on May 12, when Lee failed to appear for a scheduled joint interview with Katie on Good Morning Britain. While Katie initially covered for him, claiming he had simply missed his flight due to business issues, the situation escalated rapidly.

By May 16, Katie had uploaded a video claiming Lee was a "missing person." She told fans she feared he might have been "kidnapped," alleging that she had received a chilling FaceTime call where Lee appeared with his hands tied and a hood over his head. For days, she worked with authorities and the embassy, pleading with the public to help find him, only to later face backlash from his family who accused her of "exploiting" the situation.

While Katie initially pushed the kidnapping narrative, Lee’s own family offered a conflicting version of events that seems to align more closely with the current update. Before Katie confirmed the prison call, Lee’s father, Peter Andrews, had already told reporters that his son was not missing but "under arrest."




In a direct contradiction to Katie’s initial "kidnap" claims, Peter stated, "Lee is OK. He has not been kidnapped but he is under arrest". Reports emerged suggesting that Lee had been detained by UAE authorities, with sources claiming he was being held in Dubai's Al Awir prison, sometimes referred to as "Dubai Alcatraz" due to its harsh conditions. This week, reports also indicated that Lee might be released as early as Monday, provided he pays a four-figure fine, though his ex-partners have publicly expressed scepticism about the timeline.
