Days of Our Lives spoilers: Can Johnny change Chanel’s mind while EJ pushes Theo into a bigger role?

Days of Our Lives spoilers for Friday, June 5, center on difficult choices, shifting alliances, and relationship challenges. While Johnny struggles to come to terms with a decision made by Chanel, EJ puts a new plan into motion. At the same time, concerns grow over EJ’s true motives, and Abe reaches out for advice as he adjusts to a major change in his personal life.


Chanel makes it clear that she is not interested in following the treatment plan recommended by her doctor. Instead of moving forward with the proposed course of action, she tells Johnny that she intends to let the illness progress and see where things lead.

The revelation leaves Johnny in a difficult position. Earlier, he had assured Chanel that he would stand behind whatever decision she made. However, hearing her choice puts that promise to the test. This is one decision he finds impossible to support, creating tension between the couple at a time when they need each other the most.

Recognizing that Johnny’s attention is focused elsewhere, EJ looks for another person he can rely on. He approaches Theo and asks him to take on a larger role by serving as Johnny’s right-hand man.

Theo appears more receptive to the idea than he may have been before. After learning that Lexie supports his future within the DiMera family business, he begins to see the opportunity in a different light. The offer could mark an important turning point for him, but questions remain about what EJ truly hopes to achieve.

While Theo considers EJ’s proposal, Cat and Rafe continue to see EJ very differently. Cat believes she has a handle on the situation and feels confident she can manage him. Part of that confidence comes from the unusual bond they share through their past connection in a book club.


Rafe, however, remains unconvinced. He views EJ as someone far more dangerous than Cat realizes and warns her accordingly. Cat refuses to accept his concerns, leaving the two on opposite sides of the debate. As events unfold, one of them is bound to discover they were mistaken.

Abe has already accepted a significant change in his life by stepping aside so Paulina can reunite with Lexie. Now that Lexie is living with him, he is still trying to figure out how to navigate the new arrangement.

Unsure of the best approach, Abe seeks guidance from Marlena. Given her own experiences with loved ones returning from the dead, she understands the emotional complexities involved. Having faced similar situations with both Roman and John, Marlena may be exactly the person Abe needs to help him find his footing.

As emotions run high across Salem, major decisions and uncertain motives leave several relationships facing critical tests ahead.
