A rising K-Pop group found themselves in an unexpected situation recently when they were denied access to a water slide due to their combined weight falling below the minimum safety requirement. The incident quickly went viral on social media platforms, with one video accumulating over 9 million views as fans and netizens expressed disbelief at the revelation. Fans believe this travel vlog, meant to be lighthearted, exposed the extreme reality of K-Pop industry beauty standards.

The video captured a moment that left both the members and viewers stunned. As Woni, 22, Liv, 19, Minami, 19, and Zena, 17, prepared to ride the slide together, a safety official informed them that the facility required a combined weight of at least 180kg for four riders. Member May had opted out, citing fear after a previous experience.

When the four members stepped on the scale, the measurement showed their total weight did not reach 180kg, meaning the average weight per member was under 45kg. The safety official suggested that another person would need to join them, ultimately leaving the four members unable to try the slide.


The members, visibly surprised, broke into laughter at the absurd situation. However, for viewers, the implications were far more serious than a failed amusement park attempt.

On July 14, 2026, RESCENE achieved their first music show win with Pretty Girl on The Show, cementing their rise from relative obscurity to becoming a "trending" group.
